| Department Lorem Ipsum dummy content of Functional English began functionin scripts and stage plays. The theatre pursues the purpose of enhancing the communicative skills of the students as well as developing their personality. The best play of the Department participates in the National Theatre Festival being organized by Christ University Bangalore and participates in the University Arts festivals. The department also have a Book club to inculcate reading habits in the students. |

Malayalam was taught as a second language from 1909 itself. B. A. Malayalam Language and Literature as the main subject was started in 1980 and Post Graduation course in Malayalam Language and Literature in 2001.

An organization named Malayalamandalam functions as a literary and cultural wing under the department. Not only students but also all alumni and former teachers are part of it. We also have a YouTube channel under the same name, Malayalamandalam.
